Reuters alone with news ANZ in box seat to buy $1.4 billion Indonesian bank stake

Shares in Indonesia`s Panin Bank jumped as much as 5.8 percent on May 19 after Reuters reported that the Gunawan family was selling its entire $1.4 billion stake, with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group the leading contender. News of the stake auction pushed up Panin shares in a much weaker broader market and on volumes more than six times their average over the past 30 days. Bloomberg and Dow Jones were unable to match the story.
