Reuters was first to publish the definitive size of Blackstone’s latest buyout fund — $13 billion. There had been considerable speculation about the size of the fund that took two years to raise. Reuters was first to get the details on July 14 from a confidential letter sent to Blackstone’s limited partners. The WSJ came into the story a few days later.
