Clients get exclusive word on Shell pipeline restart schedule

Reuters got first word on August 11 of Shell’s schedule for restarting the Eugene Island pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico. Shutdown after a leak in this key U.S. Gulf oil supply link stirred markets, which were intensely interested in details of planned repair and restart. Experts previously had guessed the line might restart three weeks after the leak July 25 — mid-August, not late September.
