Reuters ahead of rivals on Numonyx-Hynix tie-up; shares jump

Shares of Hynix Semiconductor jumped 8.2 percent after Reuters was the first to report on Aug. 6 that newly formed memory chip maker Numonyx was entering a 5-year development pact with the Korean firm, as part of Numonyx’s push into NAND memory. Dow Jones was more than half an hour behind with the news, while Bloomberg was more than an hour behind.
