Canada’s Medicago jumps after Reuters interview on swine flu vaccine deal

Shares of Canadian biotech company Medicago soared 33 percent to a year high on Aug. 31 after Reuters exclusively reported news of a licensing agreement of its swine flu vaccine with a company in the Middle East. The company’s chief executive also said in an interview that Medicago planned to start talks soon with China’s Hunan province on developing a vaccine.
