Reuters emerging market specialists on July 1 delivered a series of exclusive interviews with top policymakers from some of the biggest developing economies. Turkish finance minister Mehmet Simsek told Reuters he may now revise up his country’s 2010 growth forecast and that credit rating agencies were behind the markets putting Turkish debt in the investment grade sphere. Columbia’s central bank chief Jose Dario Uribe told Reuters the country has no immediate plans to impose capital curbs boosting the peso, but said he would continue to monitor the strength of hot money inflows and act accordingly.
