Insights into the future of global financial services from Reuters exclusive emerging markets summit
07.08.2010
A Reuters editorial summit in Sao Paulo produced a strong package of stories that underlined the rapidly growing importance of emerging economies and the investment links among them. Video interviews with some of the world’s most influential economists and investors, including Goldman Sachs’ Jim O’Neill and PIMCO’s Mohamed El-Erian, yielded two analysis stories as well as a stand-alone interview piece with the CEO of South Africa’s Standard Bank. One analysis looked at how traditional financial centers like London and New York are being challenged by emerging market upstarts. Another looked at the mounting investor enthusiasm over Africa and the risks that could raise. Both stories won wide play on financial and newspaper websites.
