EADS shares climb on Emirate plane order exclusive

Shares in Airbus parent EADS gained sharply after the CEO of Emirates airline Tim Clark told Reuters in an exclusive Oct. 12 interview that the carrier aimed to have more than 100 Airbus A380 superjumbos and was simply constrained by space in its home base in Dubai. EADS shares ended the day 1.6 percent higher and extended gains the following day to make for a 2.7-percent two-day rally. The story was widely picked up by regional and international media including Al Khaleej newspaper, The National, Kipp Report and The Sydney Morning Herald.
