Reuters accurately predicts end of Trinidad, Nigerian LNG deliveries to UK

Reuters predicted in an August analysis that a summer flood of liquefied natural gas (LNG) deliveries to Britain, including the first ever Nigerian LNG delivery, would soon end as the lure of Asia pulls cargoes away from the Atlantic Basin. Using data from Waterborne LNG consultants fed through Reuters graphing technology, we created an innovative illustration of how Britain’s time as the most attractive market in the world was over and that the UK was unlikely to see any more Nigerian or Trinidadian cargoes, but would still receive Qatari LNG. Three months later, Britain has not seen a single delivery from either producing country since August, according to Reuters records of port arrivals, but has seen almost exclusively Qatari LNG delivered.
