Reuters hours ahead with update from UBS Americas brokerage CEO

The Reuters wealth management team was hours ahead in reporting the latest status report from UBS Wealth Management CEO Bob McCann. Though the financial media were all focused on the Swiss bank’s annual investor day, the wealth team focused on disclosures from McCann on broker attrition and client asset flows, as well as the division’s potential departure from its New Jersey headquarters. The Nov. 16 story also balanced McCann’s bullish stats with the observation that bottom line performance was still weak and that some measures had slipped since March. Rivals Dow Jones and Bloomberg did not catch up for about three hours.
