Whenever they have been asked the Danes have voted against joining the euro zone but the sands could be shifting, and Reuters had it first, reporting the Danish PM saying Denmark could soon need to re-evaluate its euro outsider position, as euro zone countries intensify economic cooperation.That would be some reversal, almost on a par with Britain doing the same, and there are many hurdles to getting there, not least a required referendum. But it was a startling statement nonetheless. Bloomberg was well behind and Dow Jones did not match. |
