First with Oscar results on closely-watched award night

Reuters beat Bloomberg and DJ on the announcement of winners from the Oscar award ceremony, showbiz’s premier event. On the night of February 27 our teams used a fast television feed unavailable to our rivals to beat the opposition on the closely watched announcements. In addition reporters worked with Reuters.com to fill a live blog with tweets, pictures and video for nearly 5,000 followers. Throughout it all, text, pictures and TV shared staff, resources, contacts and information to make the coverage a complete, multi-media experience.
