IFR breaks news on BofA poaching senior UBS banker

Thomson Reuters publication IFR broke news that Bank of America-Merrill Lynch has poached Matthew Koder, a high profile banker from Swiss bank UBS AG <UBSN.VX>, to head its corporate and investment banking business in Asia in the region’s first major defection after the banker bonus season. The story, which was picked up by Reuters, also revealed that London-based Koder, who has nearly two decades experience in investment banking and capital markets, will relocate to Hong Kong to help BofA beef up its Asian franchise.
