Shire shares hit all-time high after Reuter Health Summit interview05.11.2011
U.S.-listed shares in Shire, Britains third biggest drugmaker, rose 3.5 percent to an all-time high on May 11 after its CEO spelt out the potential for new uses of its Viviane drug beyond hyperactivity during the Reuters Health Summit in New York. Angus Russell said new indications such as schizophrenia and depression could generate multiple billions of dollars of extra sales, adding that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was supportive of the companys moves to test the stimulant drug in new areas. |
