Reuters exclusive: North Korea and Iran trade missile technology

Reuters scored an important exclusive on May 14 when a correspondent got hold of a classified copy of a report showing that North Korea and Iran had been regularly exchanging information on ballistic missiles technology in violation of U.N. sanctions. The story was picked up all over the world. Among the top media organizations that credited Reuters with breaking the news of the panel’s findings were Bloomberg, the BBC, the New York Times and Al Jazeera. Two days after the Reuters story on the panel’s report appeared, several news organizations and think-tanks published analyses of the panel’s findings that gave credit to us for breaking the news.
