Reuters alone with Luxembourg comments on UBS

Luxembourg Treasury Minister Luc Frieden on March 17 told the Reuters Funds Summit he would press for an out-of-court settlement of a dispute over investor losses in the Madoff scandal. Analysts referred to the move as positive for UBS, subject to the terms. Separately, Frieden told Reuters that EU rules on taxing deposits held abroad must be redrawn after Luxembourg and other countries agreed to apply global rules on tackling tax evasion.
