Reuters poll shows cell phone demand falling off a cliff01.29.2009
Shares of world-leading cell phone maker Nokia fell 3 percent on Jan. 29 as analysts predicted a sharp fall in global sales in a Reuters poll that is fast becoming the industry standard. Analysts now expect global sales of all cell phone makers to fall by 10.7 percent in 2009 to 1.08 billion phones, compared with a consensus for a fall of 8 percent just two weeks ago. |
