Reuters first with fire at key refinery 04.06.2009 Reuters had the news first on April 6 when a fire at key Northeastern refinery ConocoPhillips, a 238,000 barrel per day Bayway plant in Linden, New Jersey, forced the refiner to reduce processing rates ahead of summer driving season. The run cuts at the refinery, nicknamed ‘the gasoline machine’ for its large gasoline-making unit, pushed up wholesale gasoline in the New York Harbor by 2 cents a gallon.
