Reuters ahead with Baghdad blast

Reuters was first to report from Baghdad on a series of blasts that killed scores of people and wounded more than 500 on August 19, Iraq’s bloodiest day this year. Coming soon after U.S. troops withdrew from Iraq’s cities and towns and shortly after a tender to invite in western oil companies, the attacks served as a reminder that Iraq is still a long way from becoming just another emerging market.
