Reuters leads with U.S. response to Russia's actions in Georgia

Reuters led the way in tracking the escalation in U.S. responses and warnings to Moscow. Reuters was first with all the major breaking news, including Bush warning Moscow not to recognise the rebel regions, the announcement of Cheney’s trip to Georgia, the G7 condemnation and the possible scrapping of the U.S.-Russia civil nuclear deal. Importantly we were also fast to report that Washington’s options were limited, especially as the American business community was calling for caution and urging the administration not to impose sanctions unilaterally.
