Reuters first with possible Van Kampen sale by Morgan Stanley

Reuters broke news on Aug 21 that Morgan Stanley is reviewing options for its Van Kampen Investments unit and has been approached about a deal, as the Wall Street bank looks to fix its struggling asset management business. Sources told Reuters that a deal was not imminent and that options could include a sale of a stake in the business.
