Reuters delivered a scoop Dec. 3 on British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s plan to help homeowners who have lost their jobs. Tapping government sources, we broke the news that Brown planned to announce that the unemployed could delay interest payments on their mortgages for up to two years - a major program designed to ease home foreclosures and tackle the sharply deteriorating UK economy.
