A Reuters analysis on Sept. 13 looked at the possibility of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates quickly, breaking from its traditional, gradualist approach, once it decides to withdraw its massive stimulus of the U.S. economy. The story generated new trading ideas for U.S. investors and won wide play in the media. Axiom Capital Management sent the story out to clients alongside tips on how to trade the idea. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) highlighted the story in its daily must-reads, and it also was posted on the website of consulting service Global Research Partners.
