Continental shares jump after capital raising news from Reuters11.18.2009
Shares of German car parts maker Continental rose by as much as 4.3 percent on Nov. 18 after Reuters broke news on progress towards a badly needed capital hike. Several sources said the 1 billion euro share issue was planned for January. German competitor DPA published its own sources based story 3 hours later. Dow Jones took a day to match the story, then quoting newspapers. The share move put the stock among the top winners in Germany’s midcap index MDax. The topic was widely picked up by leading German media, i.e. “Financial Times Deutschland” and “Süddeutsche Zeitung”. |
