Palm oil hits 10-week lows after Reuters exclusive on China completing purchases

Malaysian palm oil futures dropped to ten-week lows on Jan 27 after Chinese and Singaporean traders told Reuters exclusively that China, the world’s No. 2 vegetable oil buyer, has met its palm oil demand requirements for the Lunar New Year festival. China’s festive demand often lifts prices but news of China finishing its stockpiling prompted traders to say demand outlook would be rather cloudy.
