Reuters ahead as China charges four Rio Tinto employees

Reuters was ahead of competitors on Feb. 10 when China charged four employees of mining giant Rio Tinto with bribery and stealing commercial secrets. The four include an Australian giant Rio Tinto, were arrested last year and the case has implications for China’s relations with Australia specifically and Western countries with major Chinese investments and deals generally, as well as for equities and commodities subscribers. Reuters was 22 minutes ahead of Dow Jones with news of the charges and Bloomberg was unmatched. We were also ahead or unmatched on four opther alerts that night. The detainees could face 20 years in jail on the first charge and seven on the second.
