Peso weakens sharply after Mexico tells Reuters it plans tax reform

Mexicos finance minister told Reuters in an interview on March 18 that it will hand lawmakers a tax reform proposal this year and is seeking as big of a stockpile of international reserves as possible. The comments on reserves led the peso currency to weaken 0.5 percent against the dollar. Reuters was the first publication to report the governments reform plans.
