Reuters confirms exclusively militants were behind India bombing.03.15.2010
After weeks of silence, India’s Home Secretary revealed on March 15 that Islamist groups were behind a bombing in the western city of Pune, the first in India since the Mumbai attacks. Speculation had been rife over the bombing, which killed 16 people, but the government refused to identify anybody as responsible. The Home Secretary (interior minister) Gopal Pillai gave the news to Reuters in an interview which was carried across much of India’s media, including the country’s biggest business newspaper, the Economic Times. |
