Reuters dominates with key housing scoops

Reuters in Washington had two housing scoops in the week of March 22, first securing Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s much-anticipated speech on the outlines of reform to the giant U.S. housing finance agencies before other media, and then revealing first the details of the Obama administration’s new plan to try to slow the wave of foreclosures. The story was splashed the next day on the front pages of the New York Times and the Washington Post which had to scramble to catch up with the Reuters report.
