Reuters talks to Pimco’s CEO on Greece04.12.2010
Reuters scored interviews on April 12 with Mohamed El-Erian, the chief executive of bond giant Pimco, in which he said the company will not be buying new Greek debt as it believes a euro zone rescue package fails to tackle the country’s longer-term solvency challenges. The Economist, which rarely includes quotes in their stories, not only used the El-Erian quote but also cited Reuters Television. The Reuters story was well-timed as The Wall Street Journal also quoted El-Erian in a buyside focused Greece story — one day after the Reuters interview. |
