IBM jumps 5 pct after Reuters first with bullish EPS target

Reuters was first to report IBMs bullish, long-term earnings target, off of a slide presentation, on May 12. Shares rallied 5 percent. That was nearly 10 minutes before closest competitor Bloomberg and much earlier than other media who waited until the official announcement by CEO Sam Palmisano at the companys annual investor conference. IBMs forecast of doubling EPS to at least $20` by 2015 helped other technology stocks rise as well.
